IKEA HACK on MOPPE drawers

I did a little ikea hack project on the ikea ‘moppe’ drawers.

I use them to display my cards at my craft fairs & thought they looked a bit boring sooooo decided to update them, here’s what I did...

1) I stained them with ‘dark teak' wood dye as wanted a Matt look.

I applied 3 coats with a rag.

2) In between wood dye layers I painted the insides of all the drawers with  ‘willow’ paint, I actually used garden paint as we had some leftover & I love the colour. I applied two coats.

3) When all was dry I attached brass effect drawer pulls using a drill & screwdriver. I used the back of the drawers so I didn’t have the cut out groove showing.

I am really happy with how they turned out.
I use them as storage in my studio & also to display my cards at my craft fairs.
