FREDDIE GILROY SCARBOROUGH PRINT

An A4 or A3 'Freddie Gilroy' print A Graphic Illustration of Scarboroughs 'Freddie Gilroy' Sculpture.

The Freddie Gilroy sculpture is overlooking the north bay in Scarborough. The sculpture was made by artist Ray Lonsdale & is double scale! making the figure 11 feet long!

Freddie was a former soldier who participated in the liberation of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, sitting on a bench in his old age. Gilroy was a friend of the sculptor and the piece partly a tribute to him, but also as a wider war & Holocaust memorial. Originally intended to sit on the seafront as a 4-week loan in 2011, a local resident donated money to purchase the sculpture for the town.
